The Impact of Discussions

On the most recent episode, it is a recap over lessons learned. Over the last few months, I have sat down and talked to amazing physicians, and non-physicians alike. Burnout has been the topic, but also spirituality, self care, boundaries, finance, using your voice and more.

Spirituality affects our being and how we interact with others.
What we do must come from love.
Use your voice to speak up for yourself.
Understand finance.
Your spirit knows.
Self care is not selfish.

These appear as simple lessons, but they are the hardest to put into practice as we are taught to put our patients first always. We cannot run on fumes. Even cars need gas. We need fuel. We need to keep ourselves at the forefront.

I challenge the reader to do one thing for the self this week.

Work on boundaries.

Practice saying, “No.”
