Happy 4th!

Freedom isn't free. We remember that today with more than just a day off work (for some of us). It is evident in our country's history.

Happy 4th of July! This past week has been a whirlwind with a family member in the hospital unexpectedly, followed by brakes failing on the truck. Luckily no one was hurt. I am stranded in the mountains of New Mexico, but what can I say except it is a God send. Being disconnected and forced to have silence at night has been something that was needed, but unknown as to the urgency of the necessity.

While there will be no fireworks, there are plenty of other antics. I have seen the generousity of strangers, that and their kindness, along with the clear blue skies, have made this a memorable 4th.
